Bring bug spray to manage the occasional ants. they didn’t bother us when we kept our things tidy. The kayaking provided wonderful wildlife sightings.

Beautiful garden layout backing out to the lagoon. The pool provided a refreshing retreat after a long day of wildlife spotting.
Rooms felt dated, with firm beds and thin walls making for noisy neighbors. The absence of mosquito nets allowed unwanted guests to buzz around at night, leading to an uncomfortable sleep. Dining prices lacked transparency, with no set menu and rather steep bills for meals, making it hard to plan. Cash-only policy added an element of inconvenience, especially without clear food pricing.

Our stay was fantastic! The food in the restaurant was delicious, especially the fresh homemade pasta that was supplied daily. We absolutely loved the boat tour down the Rio Frio, which provided us with so much wildlife viewing, particularly birds we hadn't seen anywhere else. The hotel had a beautiful pool surrounded by nature, and the spider monkeys were a delightful surprise on our arrival. Andrea and the staff were incredibly welcoming and made our experience truly memorable.

We had a lovely time enjoying the beautiful garden filled with colorful birds and playful monkeys right outside our room. Relaxing by the scenic outdoor pool and soaking up the sun was just what we needed after our exciting boat tour. While the breakfast could be a bit more filling, it didn't take away from our overall enjoyment.

A comfortable room offered a scenic view of the lagoon and easy access to stunning birdlife. The food, featuring locally sourced ingredients, was delicious and included a memorable curry. However, the evening meals felt slightly overpriced, and the nearby Wi-Fi could have been better, especially for those needing to stay connected.

pleasant stay in a lush setting
The garden surrounding the hotel was beautiful, filled with a variety of birds and playful monkeys. The boat tour provided by the owner was a fantastic experience, allowing us to observe unique wildlife up close. The meals in the restaurant featured fresh ingredients, with one standout dish being a vibrant local curry. I particularly enjoyed the stunning garden view from my room, which added to the relaxing atmosphere of my stay.
The Wi-Fi connection could use improvement as it was a bit inconsistent during my visit.
